Much of the eastern Corn Belt could gather another 1” to 2” of additional rainfall between Thursday and Sunday, per the latest 72-hour cumulative precipitation map from NOAA. Parts of the Central Plains could also see moderate precipitation during this time. For the first week of April, the agency’s 8-to-14-day outlook predicts drier weather in the Midwest, with some seasonally wet conditions in the Northern Plains.
Weather : The Corn Belt is facing another very wet week ahead, with another 2” to 4” expected over a large portion of the central U.S. through the end of the month, according to the latest seven-day cumulative precipitation map from NOAA. Further out, NOAA is also predicting a wetter-than-average summer, as the agency reported in its seasonal three-month outlook.
Weather : Daytime highs across the central U.S. will clock in cooler than normal for the rest of this week into the weekend. The Midwest and Plains are also bracing for a relatively wet week ahead, with many areas expecting another 2” to 3” of additional rainfall through May 13, per the latest 7-day cumulative precipitation map from NOAA.
